Rock Climbing in the so called desert's of the USA.

The climbing at the City can be so enjoyable for almost any level of climber. The rock is quite positive and produces a high friction surface for the rubber. The many towers of rocks that lay in the fields of the City are in many wild and crazy shapes and forms, almost surreal like.

Mescalito Tower : Red Rocks Nevada.
This striking Tower lies in the Valley bottom in Pine cr. Canyon. Almost all the described climbs in the book only go as far as the climbing is steep and good. If the weary adventurer has the skills of retreat and route finding, the summit of the tower can actually be found. |
IBEX, Utah
Ibex is a wild and remote area that only the adventurer should go. The reminiscence of bullet shells lurks at the base of every climb. The sighting of Snakeskin’s lay in the tall grass and shrubs. Rattlesnakes have known to pop out of their hiding place now and then and surprise the unexpected climber. Be careful out here, the closest help is well over an hour drive away.

IBEX : Utah / Quartermoon Tower
This is the striking tower like formation that can be seen from the dried up lakes. The climb is a good variation of mixed gear and clipping bolts. Two pitch 5.10a One 60m rope to rap off with. Register on the summit.
